How to get to "Heddwch"
- Travel to Dolgellau.
- Take the A493, the Towyn road.
- After about five miles you will see the Arthog
village sign. You need to travel about a mile and a half through
the village.
- When you get to Glasfryn Terrace on your left, you will see
the sign to the station on your right next to a bus stop.
- Turn down
this road towards the station. You pass St.Mary’s Terrace
on your left and a row of three corrugated iron Victorian bungalows
on your right.
- You now come to a crossroads. The road to the left goes to the
station and you
don’t want to go that way. You need to drive past the Snowdonia
National Park sign and open the new farm gate ahead of it. The
gate bears a red sign asking you (in Welsh and English) to close
it after you.
- Follow the tarmaced road through the fields for about half a
mile. Ignore the sign to Fegla Fawr Farm. Drive through the sentry
boxes left by the army after its departure following war-time operations
here.
- This last bit of the road is not well laid so take it slowly.
You can now see the rear of Mawddach Crescent which has a service
road. Ignore this and carry on around to the front crossing
the cattle grid. “Heddwch” is the house furthest
away from you and you should park in front of it and to the right
of the small garden gate.
Congratulations,
you have arrived!
